Hers

Is there a difference between the thinking of a 20- or 30-something-year-old single male and a 40- or 50-something never-married single male about getting married? I will address that in the next article. In the meanwhile, first, view the video on the “HIS” Webpage. After that, view the response from her HERE of the marry-me-or-don’t-bother-coming-over ultimatum given by her. This film clip is from the movie “Picnic,” which was released by Columbia Pictures in 1955.

Woman Praying

A Well on the Inside

By Victoria Hundley

Did you know that you have a living well on the inside of you? You have a well that is springing up to everlasting life! You have a full supply and access to the fruit of the Spirit right down on the inside of you. Anything you need, love, joy, peace, patience, it’s all inside your spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
The Holy Spirit dwells inside of you, He is the one who put that fruit there, the fruit of the spirit. You may say, “Well, I don’t see much of this fruit in my life. Why would that be?” Well, you need to ask this question. Where does this fruit come from? How can I have it produce in my life? The answer is, it comes from the Holy Spirit who lives inside of you. You may not always see the fruit but it is there down on the inside of you, but you have to yield to it and let it flow out of you.

You may want to yield to your flesh but you need to yield to your own spirit, to the living well inside of you, and display to others the fruit that’s there. The fruit of love, joy, peace and patience. How does one get that fruit to grow and develop on the inside of you? By abiding in the vine. By abiding with Jesus, by abiding in His Word. His Word is life and it is life-changing and life-giving. You spend time in this Word and it will renew you and restore you. As you spend time in that Word it will cause that fruit to produce in your life and people will see it. You have everything already inside of you, you just have to spend time with the One who produces the fruit.

John 15:1-8 NKJV

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”
As we see here in this passage, Jesus is talking about if you want to bear fruit in your life you need to abide in the vine. That vine is Jesus. How do you abide with Jesus? You abide in His Word. As you read the Word and spend time in the Word you are spending time with Jesus and He will begin to change you with the Word and you will start bearing fruit.

John 15:9-17 NKJV

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.”
Jesus is the true vine and is the life giver, He is the living water, the water springing up to everlasting life. Do you remember the story of the woman at the well? Jesus said that He had living water to offer her, he said the water I give will become in you a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. Spend time with the life giver today and see that fruit start producing in your life.
