Hers

Is there a difference between the thinking of a 20- or 30-something-year-old single male and a 40- or 50-something never-married single male about getting married? I will address that in the next article. In the meanwhile, first, view the video on the “HIS” Webpage. After that, view the response from her HERE of the marry-me-or-don’t-bother-coming-over ultimatum given by her. This film clip is from the movie “Picnic,” which was released by Columbia Pictures in 1955.

It’s Not What You Know But Who You Know

By Victoria Hundley

Have you ever heard people tell you that they do not have what you want but that they can get you some type of deal. Or, that if you become a member of some special club, they tell you “I know some things but I can’t help you. However, I know ‘a guy’…” and they give you a wink of the eye? Thus indicating, it’s not what you know but who you know, right? It may be true for them. But, definitely, in the case of the believer, it is not how much you know but who you know, and you know God.

God, whom you know, is there for you, and He has all the right connections. Anything you need, God’s got it. Philippians 4:19 states it this way “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (NKJV). He knows all the right “guys”, so to speak, with all the right connections because He made everything and He made everyone. God has every connection you need and the book of Job, chapter 23, verse 10(a) expresses, “But He knows the way that I take;” There is no lack because God has the connections. He knows every person on earth because He made them. So whatever you need, God’s got the connection. Hebrews 4:13 supports this “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

What is it that you need from God today? God’s got it. He has all your needs provided. Do you need healing, finances, relationships, jobs, wisdom, emotional healing, comfort, peace, love? Whatever you need, God is your connection. He will meet you where you are, when He is invited, and help you with everything. He is the ultimate provider. He is your everything. God has also crowned you with favor and glory.

Psalms 103:4 NASB2020

“Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with favor and compassion;”

Psalms 50:10-12 NKJV

“For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.”

Philippians 4:19 NKJV

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Whatever you need: if you need a new job or need to buy something at a good price. God can connect you with the right people. God knows everyone and He orders your steps to the right people. He knows where you are and how to get you connected with the right people. Believe that you have favor wherever you go and that you will come in contact with the right people. So then, God is leading you and he has everything that you need. You will lack no good thing as promised in Psalm 34:10 “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.”

What you have to do is ask God and He will get you what you need and what you want; as long as it lines up with His Word. Find, then, scriptures for what you are wanting, and go to God about it. I don’t want to brush past this statement too quickly. The Word of God that you deposit inside you has the life required to bring itself to pass. Jesus states it this way, “…The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63). Joshua followed the following directions and was very successful. His directions are recorded in Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Referring to those “Book-of-the-Law” Words in the Torah, which were God’s Words, given to Moses.

Psalms 37:3-5 NKJV

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.”

Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

So whatever you need, ask God. You KNOW a “guy” and He is Jesus, God’s Only Begotten Son. He is able to move mountains for you, reorganize work situations, restore relationships, and give you wisdom and favor. Whatever you need, God is there for you.
