Is there a difference between the thinking of a 20- or 30-something-year-old single male and a 40- or 50-something never-married single male about getting married? I will address that in the next article. In the meanwhile, first, view the video on the “HIS” Webpage. After that, view the response from her HERE of the marry-me-or-don’t-bother-coming-over ultimatum given by her. This film clip is from the movie “Picnic,” which was released by Columbia Pictures in 1955.
God wants to fill your life with precious and pleasant riches. God is a loving God and wants to bless you as His child with wonderful things.
“Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.”
God wants to fill your life with good things, spiritually and physically. He also wants to help you by encouraging you the believer to renew your mind with the Word of God so you will have a healthy and strong mind. Not a mind filled with thoughts of depression and/or defeat, but thoughts of a good future and thoughts of victory as we read “For I have known the thoughts that I am thinking towards you — an affirmation of Jehovah; thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give to you posterity and hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 YLT) and we also read “because every one who is begotten of God doth overcome the world, and this is the victory that did overcome the world –our faith;” (1 John 5:4 YLT). For this to be realized in the life of the believer you will have to do something. The born-again believer has to renew their mind. You have to get into the Bible and find out what belongs to you. He will not renew your mind like some magic trick, but with the help of the Holy Spirit as you apply yourself and get into the Word, your mind will be renewed by the Word of God that you read. The Word of God encourages the believer to “…be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”, Romans 12:2. The born-again believer is tasked with renewing their mind. In so doing, your mind will become healthier and you will be joyful. That is what God wants. He wants you to be strong on the inside (in your spirit) and on the outside. He wants you to be blessed in every area of your life. God gets glory when you are prospering. “He wants you to be prosperous in your spirit, soul, body, financially and in your relationships. God wants you to be blessed in every area. In Luke 12:32 we read “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
God does not want you to be encumbered in debt or to have lack of any kind. God is a good God and wants to bless you with good things. Psalm 84:11 informs the believer “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.”
When Jesus taught the disciples how to pray, we read the first thing given for the believer to say in the following passage of Scripture: “Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.’ So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven,…’” Luke 11:1-2. You read that correctly. According to Jesus, God Almighty is our Father. Have you ever seen a parent with their child. They always want them to have the best, even over their own selves. A parent often will give up their own life for their child. That is correct, as is the case with our Father God. He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (who was God in the flesh). How much more would our loving Heavenly Father bless His children?
God is a good God and wants to bless you in every way. He has good gifts for you and blessings He wants to give you just like any loving parent would want to give to their child. God, however, has so much more to give.
“Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
This is our loving Heavenly Father, He wants to give us so much more than any earthly parent would. In these next verses God is saying He has everything you have need of, all you have to do is just ask Him and He will give it to you. You just have to be sure it lines up with His will for you and according to the Word of God.
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” This statement has a caveat, the word “If”. If my Words abide in you… This can be done. For we know that faith comes,… faith
comes… How does faith come? “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” Romans 10:17.
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Know that God loves you and wants to bless you with good things. What do you have need of today? Ask God, use your faith, He will give it to you. For we know that He has precious and pleasant riches for you.
